1. Information We Collect

When you use Less Visible, we collect the following information to perform data broker scans on your behalf:

  • Name (first and last)
  • City and state (optional)
  • Email address (for account creation)
  • Phone number, when you choose a verified phone-exposure scan

Before a phone-exposure scan begins, we send a one-time verification code to confirm that you control the number. The public scan does not save the full number in your browser. The number is sent to service providers only as needed to deliver the code and search supported public sources.

If you choose enhanced identity monitoring, you may also provide aliases, additional email addresses, former phone numbers, and former city/state locations. We do not request Social Security numbers.

2. Google Sign-In Data

If you choose to continue with Google, Less Visible receives the basic account information you authorize Google to share: your email address, name, profile image, and a unique Google account identifier. We use this information only to create, authenticate, secure, and display your Less Visible account.

Less Visible does not request access to your Gmail messages, Google Drive files, contacts, calendar, or other Google services. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or allow it to be used to train generalized artificial-intelligence models. Google Sign-In data is stored with your account, shared only with service providers that operate our account infrastructure, and deleted through the account-deletion process described below.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your personal information is used exclusively to:

  • Search supported public sources for records matching the identifiers you ask us to check
  • Submit opt-out and removal requests on your behalf (Pro plan)
  • Send you scan results and status updates
  • Manage your account and subscription

4. Data Storage and Security

We store identity profiles, scan findings, removal status, and monitoring history so we can provide ongoing protection and show progress. Scanner jobs are short-lived and automatically expire. Account credentials and payment information are handled by specialized service providers. Less Visible does not receive or store full payment-card numbers.

5. Third-Party Services

We use carefully selected service providers to operate Less Visible. These providers may process only the information reasonably necessary to perform their services:

  • Account infrastructure -- authentication, account management, and protected data storage
  • Payment processing -- subscription billing and transaction processing
  • Hosting and security -- website delivery, operational logging, and service protection
  • Email delivery -- account, security, and service-related communications
  • Phone verification -- one-time security codes used to confirm control of a number before it is searched
  • Public-page analytics -- measurement of visits and interactions on public pages; authenticated account and administrative pages are excluded
  • Exposure intelligence -- breach, public-web, and reputation searches using relevant information supplied for monitoring
  • Browser notification delivery -- optional service alerts when notifications are enabled

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose information only as reasonably necessary to provide the service, including operating accounts and subscriptions, delivering communications, searching for exposure, and submitting or supporting removal requests. We also may disclose information when required by law or necessary to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request deletion of your account and all associated data
  • Opt out of any communications
  • Export your scan history

8. Retention and Deletion

We retain account and protection records while your account is active so monitoring and removal history remain available. You can permanently delete your account and associated stored data from your profile. Operational security logs and legally required transaction records may be retained for a limited period where necessary for fraud prevention, compliance, or dispute resolution.
